Welcome to the new Allegro Condominiums progress update site! Allegro has broken ground and excavation of the site is moving ahead of schedule. As construction goes forward, the team here will be posting updates regularly with news and photographs of the project and the surrounding community.

On April 4th, 2007, we celebrated the groundbreaking of the Allegro site with Washington, D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty, Councilmember Jim Graham, ANC Member Calvin Woodland and the many other people who have helped to get this project where it is:

ANC1A Chair Dotti Wade, Developer Jeremy Rubenstein, Mayor Adrian Fenty, Ward One Councilmember Jim Graham, and ANC1A member Calvin Woodland

As of now, we’ve broken ground and excavation is moving rapidly. Right now, 50-80 trucks are making 3 trips a day, moving thousands of tons of dirt off site.

Thanks for your interest, and please check back for more updates in the near future.
